Building in public helped me attract users, partners, and accountability. It also became a distraction when I treated posting as progress.
My rule now:
- Share decisions and results
- Skip live commentary on unresolved noise
- Batch content creation twice a week
Public writing is leverage when it reflects real work. It is a trap when it replaces real work.
