Why Most Landing Pages Underperform

I used to think underperforming pages needed better UI. Most of the time they needed better language.

A strong landing page answers three questions immediately:

  • Who is this for?
  • What painful problem does it solve?
  • Why is this better than doing nothing?

Before tweaking layouts, rewrite the hero, subhead, and first call-to-action. If clarity improves, conversion usually follows.
